School Meals

Eating properly is crucial to give your brain and body the right fuel for learning. Our school meals aim to be nutritious, healthy and delicious – to give children everything they need during the day, and to ensure they enjoy mealtimes.

Order your meals via ‘School Hub’, the on-line meal ordering system. Every family is given a log in user name and password. Meals are to be ordered in advance (by 9.30 am on the day) and if you pay for school meals, payment should also be made in advance. If your child is ill and not going to be at school, please remember to log in and cancel their meal by 9.30 am.

Food and Drink

Sweets, biscuits and crisps are not allowed in school but the children may bring fruit. Each child in Early Years and Key Stage 1 receives a free piece of fruit or vegetable at morning break which is funded by the School Fruit and Vegetable Scheme.

All children in YR, Y1 and Y2 are entitled to a free meal at lunchtimes. We also run a School Milk Scheme through CoolMilk and all pupils may have a carton of milk at morning break. This is provided at a subsidised cost and is paid online via CoolMilk. Children entitled to Free School Meals are provided with milk free of charge. We encourage children to drink water on a regular basis.

Recent research shows this is healthy and aids concentration and learning. Most children have a drinks container or water bottle for their use on their table. Please ensure this is plastic and named appropriately.
