Holidays and Time Off

If a parent wishes to request an absence during term time for their child for a holiday or any other reason, they should put their request in writing to Mrs Richardson, the Headteacher. The letter should detail the dates and the reason for the absence.

Please be aware that under the current regulations, the school is unable to authorise absences apart from in exceptional circumstances. This means that your child’s absence may be recorded in the register as unauthorised.

Please be aware that a fixed penalty notice for unauthorised leave of absence in term time may be issued in accordance with local authority policy and prosecution may be considered if it was unpaid.
