Welcome from the Headteacher
Thank you for taking the time to look at our school and to explore the educational opportunities offered to our pupils. Castle Park School is situated just outside Kendal town, in the beautiful Lake District. It is surrounded by extensive grounds which provide an inspiring environment for learning.
Our committed team of staff, governors and parents work together to offer the pupils a curriculum which will inspire a life-long enthusiasm for learning, together with the necessary skills to lead fulfilling lives in the 21st century. This is achieved through an imaginative and varied curriculum using diverse classroom experiences, learning outside the classroom, ICT, visits and visitors.
There are two separate buildings with Early Years /Key Stage One in one building and Key Stage Two in the other. Each department has its own large playground and adventure area. The school also has a large pond, wild area, woodland area, vegetable garden and trim trail.
We value our place at the heart of the local community and make full use of our rich historical heritage and outstanding local environment. Through strong partnerships with parents and children, Castle Park School provides the first steps in each child’s learning journey, to help shape their future success and happiness.
